Our Sub Junior students (turning 7, 8 or 9 in 2021) have a wide range of classes to choose from whether they're just starting out, dancing for fun and fitness or interested in exams and competition.

From Acrobatics, Jazz, Hip Hop and Street Tap to Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Singing, Speech & Drama and traditional styles such as Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz Technique - with 24 classes on our 2021 timetable for this age group, you're sure to find something to suit your dancer's interests, skill level and schedule.
From our Sub Junior age group, we begin categorising some classes according to our dancers' interests and goals.
BRONZE: Our recreational dancers love learning to dance in a fun environment with selected performance opportunities. Students who take any of our non-exam classes and/or ISTD Tap are Bronze students.

SILVER: Students looking for the extra challenge of preparing for a ballet or jazz exam are Silver students.

GOLD: Eisteddfod/Competition Team students in this age group are Gold students and must take a minimum of Ballet, Jazz Technique and ISTD Tap to qualify for our Eisteddfod Team.
PLATINUM: Sub Junior students selected for our Elite Squads are Platinum students.
GUIDE TO TECHNIQUE CLASS GRADINGS FOR SUB JUNIOR STUDENTS
For all other classes (hip hop, acrobatics, contemporary, jazz, street tap, singing, musical theatre and speech & drama) students are categorised as Sub Junior.

Please note class placement for technique classes (Ballet, Jazz Technique and ISTD Tap) may be based on a student's experience rather than age. Class placement is highly individual and there a number of factors that contribute to this process. The age-based guidelines are provided as a starting point and you may find your child's placement is revised once 2021 classes commence.
